In less than two weeks, more than 80 of us will be putting on our walking boots to raise money for three incredible charities.
This isn’t about conquering the toughest challenge or walking the greatest distance. We wanted it to be something everyone could take part in, a day about family, friendship, remembrance and giving back.
One of the charities we are supporting is the Motor Neurone Disease Association, in memory of our great friend Paul Hunter, who sadly lost his battle with MND in December last year.
Paul was one of the true legends of the double glazing industry. An installer who had seen it all and done it all, he was respected throughout Scarborough and beyond. More than that, he was a wonderful husband, friend and colleague whose infectious smile, humour and energy lit up every room he walked into. He is deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
We are proud to walk in Paul’s memory and stand together against this devastating disease. We are also honoured that Paul’s wife, Becky, will be joining us on the day. We hope to make her proud as we walk together, sharing stories, laughter and cherished memories of an incredible man who touched so many lives.
If you are able to support us, we would be incredibly grateful for any donation, no matter how small. Every pound raised will help make a difference. If we can honour Paul’s memory, support three amazing charities and create new memories together along the way, then that is something truly special.
