Thank You NHS From SWC

It is week 4 on the road to recovery for SWC with plenty of challenges still ahead! The team are working tremendously hard & in great spirit so again I can’t stress enough how proud we are of everyone!

If you have been able to switch off from the daily politics, particularly during the last 12 weeks, you may have noticed that millions of people have undertaken acts of kindness for those in need. Doing something nice for someone else makes us feel good & it doesn’t have to cost you a penny either! Lets hope the kindness & empathy towards others continues way beyond COVID-19…

It had been suggested that Thursday 28th May was going to be the final ‘Clap for the NHS & Key Workers’ therefore to show our appreciation, we got creative with some of our own resources!

The result was a fabricated giant rainbow & heart made out of PVCu materials & panel which we then sprayed to suit!

To all of the NHS staff & Key Workers, massive respect from all of us here at SWC Trade Frames & on behalf of our industry & our amazing town we’d like to say…

THANK YOU!

Cherry is being replaced by Golden Oak

Cherrywood foil is being replaced with Golden Oak.  Cherrywood and Golden Oak foils are very similar and difficult to tell apart. For example you have all been using Golden Oak Panels and trims for years because none of the ancillary suppliers stock Cherrywood.

The Veka ‘Variations’ foil range is now huge and difficult for them to manage, but manage it they must and in order to remain on trend whilst maintaining an efficient service something must give. There has been a large decline over the last 5 years in both Cherrywood and Golden Oak sales which has led to the decision to bring the Halo product in line with Veka extrusions that have always used Golden Oak.

RATIONALISATION: Please note that this forms part of a Veka rationalisation programme taking place throughout this year and there are more changes to be announced by them as they are introduced.

When a product is changed by the supply chain, we need to trust they have fully assessed their position commercially from an extrusion, production & customer demand point of view.  When something is removed from the range, more usually we are all up in arms, but more positively, in this instance we are not losing the option, we are only embracing a small change.

Covid-19 Update (Returning to work with limited capacity)

Dear Customer,

As we all eagerly await the Government’s forthcoming announcement, we have safely introduced a phased returned to work, albeit with a very limited workforce. There is no doubt that these are extremely challenging times for us all, and we must endeavour to provide regular and concise communication(s) which are vital to maintaining an efficient and gradual return to work. This is not business as usual and it will take the next few days to find our feet regarding capacity & lead-time.

We are now in at work accepting orders and quotes – please note we are not answering the phones until our official re-opening on Monday 11th May (still with very limited capacity)

Please take good care of yourself and all those around you
Warm regards

Mark Catchpole
Sales Director

SWC celebrates 15 year partnership with Yale

SWC Trade Frames celebrate their relationship with Yale spanning over two decades and look towards the future of fabrication.

SWC has been an advocate of Yale’s product range for over 15 years, particularly its multi point door locks, and most recently its Platinum 3 Star cylinder. Plus, we were the very first to launch Yale’s new £1,000 anti-snap cylinder guarantee back in July 2019.Yale logo

Mark Catchpole, Sales Director at SWC Trade Frames, comments:
“The relationship between SWC and Yale is truly invaluable. After partnering with Yale for so many years, we have developed complete faith in not only its product quality, but also the brand’s dependability.”

“We know that when we’re using Yale products, everything has been tried and tested to the maximum standards. Plus, Yale’s commitment to informed design, responsible manufacturing and sustainability considerations assures us that we are delivering top quality products to our own customers.”

Yale cylinder

The Platinum 3 Star Cylinder is Yale’s most secure lock yet; so much so in fact that Yale is offering a £1,000 guarantee in the unlikely event that the cylinder is snapped under attack due to a forced break-in.
