Random Acts Of Kindness In Partnership With Yorkshire Coast Radio

Here at SWC we know that a simple act of kindness can make somebodies day so we teamed up with our local radio station, Yorkshire Coast Radio to spread some cheer up and down the Yorkshire coast with some Random Acts Of Kindness. Now employing around 140 much valued staff; supporting the community is core to our company family values, so we were delighted to get involved with Yorkshire Coast Radio to ‘delight’ members of the public with Random Acts of Kindness.

Random Acts Of Kindness

Paddy & Tom, 2 of the lovely presenters at the radio station went out and about along the Yorkshire Coast doing random good turns. During the promotion, they turned up at a supermarket check-out and paid for peoples shopping, gave delicious cakes & snacks to passers by, paid for taxis, bought gifts for local volunteers who do sterling work to support others, paid for a hairdo, went to a local school and celebrated a much loved dinner lady’s BIG birthday, ..and gave a donation to MIND to help them with the wonderful work they do around mental health taboot!

Random Acts Of Kindness

Thus far, the feedback we’ve received around the Community’s engagement with this project through Social Media shows in excess of 92,500 hits & 43,500 views of the videos!

If you follow the link below, you will be able view some of the acts of kindness. If you want a laugh (or a cringe!), yours truly is on the “Do you mind if we interrupt?” video!

Retiring after 33 years in business!

Colin Barnes and Mark Catchpole

Colin Barnes of C B Windows is finally retiring at the young age of only 74!

C B Windows was formed in 1985 and has operated throughout the Tyne Valley in the North East of England. Colin’s contribution to the double glazing industry over the years is probably unmeasurable and his commitment and service to his thousands of happy customers has always been of the utmost importance. With his wife Gill by his side and Hedley his trusted fitter’s support, they have represented the double glazing industry supremely in the North East of England within the Prudhoe, Hexham, and the Ryton areas. It’s now time for Colin to put his feet up, sit back and enjoy a long and happy retirement. It has been an absolute pleasure to be Colin’s supplier for so many years, where together we have built a strong business relationship. Whilst the trading side is soon to close, the friendship that has flourished over the years with SWC will last forever! You will be sadly missed by the team here Colin but we know that your retirement is thoroughly deserved.

So…a message from us to you…”Colin and Gill Barnes ‘auf weidersehen’ and best wishes from all the staff here at team SWC. We salute you! Enjoy your retirement together & if you need any windows, you know where we are!” X
